New England Chapter No. 8 NAWCCSpring Meeting, Saturday, April 17, 2010Old Sturbridge Village1 Old Southbridge Village Road, Sturbridge, MA 01566 9:00 AM Workshop: Luncheon Program: Chris Barber presented Ted Crom's passion to document the trades and showed some of the highlights of his remarkable collection of more than 2,000 objects. This collection has been described as the most comprehensive private collection of its type in the world. Horology lost a legend on January 18, 2008, and now the entire Crom collection will now be offered at auction by Skinner Inc. on May 1, 2010. Chris graduated with a BA, history of art and architecture concentrations, from Harvard in 2001. After three years at Christie's, he returned to the Boston area to work at Skinner's American Furniture and Decorative Arts Department. Additionally, Chris is now an auctioneer for Skinner's.
